Meet The Doctor
Charles J Schultz, DDS, OMFS
Dr. Charles Schultz attended University of Alaska, Fairbanks and Northern Arizona University to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. He attended the University of Colorado and obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Schultz did his oral surgery residency at Denver Health Medical Center which is a Level 1 Trauma center. At Denver Health Medical Center he trained in facial trauma, cosmetic facial surgery, and all aspects of oral surgery. Dr. Schultz seeks out and attends the highest level of continuing education. He is most interested in tissue engineering that can allow for patients to restore dental function with dental implants. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, International College of Oral Implantology and a charter member of the Tissue Engineering Society, which now has become the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society. Dr. Schultz is on the medical staff at Bartlett Regional Hospital, cases that require general anesthesia are operated there. He is currently the vice president of the Alaska Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Schultz travels and performs Oral Surgery clinics in Sitka and Ketchikan and has been serving those communities since the year 2000. Dr. Schultz has a love of Southeast Alaska Outdoors and tries to take advantage of all that it has to offer. He prefers to eat organic tries to grow as much of his own vegatables as possible and loves salmon, halibut, shrimp, crab and wild game grown in Alaska.
